- Audi has teased the redesigned Q3, ahead of its debut on June 16.
- The crossover features a more expressive and upscale design.
- There should be 2.0-liter engines and, possibly, a PHEV option.
Audi’s product renewal continues as the company has released the first teaser images of the redesigned Q3. It will debut on June 16 and promises to set “standards in several respects.”

While Audi is staying tight-lipped on specifics, they released two teaser images and said the crossover’s exterior will exude confidence. That remains to be seen, but the pictures give us a glimpse of pixelated LED daytime running lights and streamlined bodywork.

The teaser images don’t reveal much, but spy photographers have already caught the model virtually undisguised. It features a more expressive front fascia with a rounded mesh grille, which is flanked by split lighting units.
They’re joined by flowing bodywork, an expanded greenhouse, and a sportier D-pillar. We can also see pronounced wheel arches and what appears to be an extended wheelbase. Out back, there’s a stylish diffuser and boomerang-style taillights that echo those found on the A6.
Spy photographers haven’t gotten a good look inside, but the cabin will likely follow in the footsteps of the A5. This means the crossover could have an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch infotainment system, and an optional 10.9-inch front passenger display.
Powertrain details are also elusive, but we wouldn’t be surprised to find 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter gasoline engines. For Europe, expect a 2.0-liter diesel option as well. There’s also a good chance the lineup will include the same 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid system found in the new European Tiguan, which delivers around 70 miles (113 km) of electric-only range.
We’ll find out full details soon enough, but Audi CEO Gernot Döllner said “With a total of more than two million vehicles sold worldwide since the launch of the first-generation, the Audi Q3 is one of our best-selling models and has a high status in our product portfolio. With the third-generation of the Audi Q3, we are renewing an important model family as part of our product initiative.”
