They reworked the body panels, refreshed the interior, and gave the powertrain a complete overhaul, creating a car that could go toe-to-toe with genuine supercars.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Limited-Batch Revival<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article-thumbnails-organic\"><\/div>\n<p>The finished product, known as the Trans Am Super Duty, was limited to just 50 examples. Found under the hood is a 7.4-liter supercharged V8 producing over 1,000 hp and 1,046 lb-ft (1,418 Nm) of torque that&rsquo;s mated to a six-speed manual transmission. That&rsquo;s more punch than the original 987 hp (1,001 PS) Bugatti Veyron could muster, and still beyond what many modern supercars deliver today<\/p>\n<p>Those are insane levels of grunt, particularly when you consider this car was built in 2017, several years before Ford launched its most recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2025\/03\/this-shelby-mustang-gt500kr-is-a-900-hp-beast\/\">Shelby GT500<\/a> which churns out 760 hp and 625 lb-ft (847 Nm).<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2025\/05\/his-mom-only-drove-this-firebird-1000-miles-in-41-years\/\">Trans Am<\/a> Super Duty for sale, number 3, comes finished in blue and features removable carbon fiber T-tops, along with the same ferocious 1,000 hp engine. That&rsquo;s undeniably steep for something based on a Camaro, even one with all-carbon fiber panels and a four-figure horsepower count. <\/p>\n<p>Still, this nostalgia trip, served with a helping of supercharged excess, could hold a certain appeal for devoted fans.
