Right now, they&rsquo;re all stalled, though, because General Motors just issued a stop-sale and recall covering 2023-2026 Z06s and 2025-2026 ZR1s. In affected cars, the fan on the left side of the car can potentially waft vapors or droplets of fuel toward an ignition source, namely the engine, thus creating a fire risk. A notice filed under recall number N252514930 leaves no room for misunderstanding: &ldquo;If fuel contacts an ignition source, there is increased risk of fire.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sales on Hold<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article-thumbnails-organic\"><\/div>\n<p>That means that for now, dealers are under a stop-sale order. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.corvetteforum.com\/forums\/c8-z06-discussion\/4945790-stop-sale-recall-fueling-fire-risk-for-z06-from-gm.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Corvette Forum<\/a> users confirm that dealers are calling, telling them that their cars can&rsquo;t be delivered until the fix is in place. <a href=\"https:\/\/experience.gm.com\/ownercenter\/recalls?vin=1G1YF3D3XS5606072\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GM told dealers and customers<\/a> that, eventually, affected units will get a new insert\/shield to divert any spilled fuel, though parts aren&rsquo;t currently available.<\/p>\n<p>That said, some in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/recalls\/\">recall <\/a>population are already out in the real world. To that end, owners are being urged to follow strict refueling practices. They include making sure that the nozzle is fully inserted, shutting off the engine during refueling, and never &lsquo;topping off&rsquo; after the pump clicks. The safety of our customers is the highest priority for the entire GM team, and we&rsquo;re working to remedy this matter as quickly as possible.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the recall and stop-sale has nothing to do with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2025\/06\/2025-corvette-e-ray-review-supercar-test\/\">E-Rays<\/a> and Stingrays.
