That&rsquo;s what we seem to see in a newly released video of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/shelby\/\">Shelby<\/a> GT500 driver trying to leave a Cars and Coffee event. Technically, they do leave, but they don&rsquo;t get very far. As it revs up, we hear a person, maybe a prophet of some sort, say, &ldquo;Oh, you better drive that right.&rdquo; The car takes off, gets just a bit of smoke out of the tires, and then seems to bounce off the rev limiter for a good second or two.<\/p>\n<p><strong>More: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2025\/06\/california-speeding-crackdown-catches-corvettes-porsches-highway-1-tickets\/\">Officers Hit Two Porsches With 34 Tickets At Once And That&rsquo;s Not All<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Then, the car gets a bit squirrelly. It&rsquo;s unclear if the driver just wanted to try and put more smoke down or if they really were losing track of the speed they were gathering. Either way, the car begins to fishtail lightly and then gets more violent. Finally, it jerks hard to the left, the rear end goes wide right, and the Mustang smashes into the far curb. From the driver&rsquo;s side, the damage doesn&rsquo;t look too rough.<\/p>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article-thumbnails-organic\"><\/div>\n<p>When we get a glance at the passenger side, everything is bad. The front wheel appears broken, and the tire is off the bead. The front clip has some damage too. The bigger issue might be the rear wheel, though, as it&rsquo;s kicked out as if Ford has its own &ldquo;Crab Walk&rdquo; mode.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p><strong>Here&rsquo;s The Worst Part<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The decals on the car appear to match a Shelby GT500 frequently featured by a social media account on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/eddie_svtz\/?\">Instagram<\/a>, TikTok, and YouTube. If that&rsquo;s indeed the same vehicle, the owner has only had it for about two months. That said, they don&rsquo;t appear to be entirely new to high-powered cars.<\/p>\n<p>Past posts on the account have featured other performance vehicles, including a Chevrolet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/corvette\/\">Corvette<\/a> ZR1 and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/ford\/\">Ford<\/a> F-150 Lightning. So while they likely have experience with powerful V8s, the Shelby may have been a bit more than expected in this case.
