After all, few cars have survived seven generations of changing trends, questionable design choices, and midlife crises quite like the Ford Mustang. That includes the 19-inch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/wheels\/\">wheels<\/a> in either a standard five-spoke design or a more intricate setup for Performance Package cars, like the one featured in Ford&rsquo;s press shots. <\/p>\n<p>More white? You got it. The package brings back white emblems and badges, along with white taillight surrounds. Performance Package models get white grille nostrils, while the standard cars settle for Dark Carbonized Gray inserts. There&rsquo;s even a gloss-white &ldquo;MUSTANG&rdquo; wordmark on the rear window, written in a font straight out of the 1987&ndash;1993 era. All that&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2024\/06\/cassette-tapes-are-making-a-comeback-would-you-get-a-player-for-your-car\/\">missing is a cassette tape<\/a> and a pair of legwarmers.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, to really sell the FX package, you&rsquo;ll want to spec it out properly. The car shown here wears Adriatic Blue Metallic, a new-for-2026 color that channels the Fox Body&rsquo;s famously teal vibe. The FX Package adds plaid seat inserts, just like classic Foxes, paired with leather-trimmed bolsters available on both the standard seats and optional Recaro sport buckets. The FX package will only be available on GT Premium models, all of which come with the 480-horsepower (or 486 with the Active Valve Dual Exhaust) naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8. We&rsquo;ll see if Ford decides to bump those for 2026.
