- The Truckle is a handmade belt buckle that securely holds post-2018 Ford keys.
- A Cut Above Buckles designed it with a detailed engraving of a 1975 F-150.
Ford is celebrating 50 years of the F-150 in a way that’s part country style, part practical, and definitely all-American. The automaker has teamed up with A Cut Above Buckles, a boutique metalwork shop from Utah, to create something called the Truckle – a handmade belt buckle that can hold a Ford key fob.

The Truckle is the work of Andy Andrews, a former rodeo rider, serial F-series owner, and the official buckle maker of the International Rodeo Association.
His shop, A Cut Above Buckles, has been producing custom silver and bronze buckles for decades, but we doubt he’s ever created anything quite like this before.

Each Truckle features an intricate engraving of an F-150 front end on the cover plate, with the familiar Blue Oval sitting proudly on the truck’s license plate. The number 1975 appears just below as a nod to the year Ford first introduced the F-150 nameplate.
But the Truckle’s not just a showpiece. The buckle is designed to securely hold your truck’s key with the help of a metal lip, letting you slot it in before heading out in the morning. And there’s no need to take it out until you get back to the house at the end of a full day’s cattle steering.
Your Ford will still recognize the fob, enabling the key-free access and keyless start functions to work, and you can even press the buttons – provided you haven’t drunk so many Coors that you can’t see past your gut to work out which button is which.
Although this tie-up is designed to celebrate the F-150’s 50th birthday, the buckle holder will work with fobs for the Mustang, Bronco, and any other Ford vehicle supplied with the universal Blue Oval key since 2018.
A $200 price (plus $34 for the optional belt) hasn’t deterred fans from jumping on the first production run of Truckles, which has already sold out. But the company promises more are coming soon, so buyers will get another shot at wearing their Ford pride in plain sight.

} else {
adpushup.triggerAd(“9b1169d9-7a89-4971-a77f-1397f7588751”);
}
});
It’s such a smart idea that if A Cut Above doesn’t move forward and expand the idea to take in other brands like Chevy and Ram, you can bet that someone else will.
